Hello Duudle: The Duudleville Tales by Jon Burgerman and Sune Ehlers
Are you a huge Jon Burgerman fan? Well, I certainly am! We're in luck as Jon Burgerman and Sune Ehlers have a concocted a wonderous holiday treat for us in their latest fold-out-book, Hello Duudle, the Duudleville Tales. This follow-up to their first book, Hello Duudle, is not your run-of-the-mill art book. Certainly not. Its thick laminated "pages" fold out accordion-style to reveal several panels loaded with glorious doodles Expanded fully, it produces a panoramic panel of Duudleville in all it's colorful splendor. The flip-side of the book contains introductions of the key characters. Also, secret characters spot-printed in UV ink lurk in the panels of the book for you to discover! Each book also comes with an original hand-done, signed and numbered creature doodle by either Jon Burgerman or Sune Ehlers! Yup! Together they doodled 1000 separate creatures. Purchasing the book is a great opportunity to own a lovely pice of original art. It gets better... This book project also has an interactive / performance art component. Purchasers of the book get to "adopt" the creature depicted in the enclosed unique hand-drawn doodle. This is done through a special website which allows the adoptive parent to name the lost creature and to place a virtual "x marks the spot" on a world-wide map indicating the creature's new home. Hello Duudle, the Duudleville Tales will be released on December 15th, 2005 for a suggested retail of £14.95 by the newly created Wiggleton Press in a limited edition of just 1000 copies. The book will be packaged in a deluxe box along with several Duudle stickers. It will be available in stores worldwide in January of '06. This is such a cool product with loads of nice touches and its polished to the nth degree. This elaborate package will make a great holiday or slightly-after present. I hope you were "nice" this year ;-) Gotta have it? Preorder it now! Need more info? Helloduudle.com
