Blueprint @ La Clinique Dentaire Denis-Gilford

Straight from the streets of Montreal Canada, a dental clinic is having its inaugural art exhibition. The show entitled Blueprint is brought to you by Dr. Bao Pham who was involved in the graffiti movement from 1995 to 2000 but who is now a dentist. However, he hasn't lost his edge with the graffiti community and has turned part of his dental office into a art gallery. This custom show inspired by Tag the System, has over thirty model train wagons doped up with designs by several Montreal artists who are well known for their murals in the city. Due to their different backgrounds and mediums used, the show explodes with creative madness. Blueprint is also the debut for Tchug's toy prototypes. The show runs from November 25, 2005 to January 15, 2006. So you folks out and about Montreal, make sure you stop by to show your support.

Hi, my name is Yannick i'm from Montréal and recently i've discover the world of art toys. I used to collect spawn and super heroes (or villains ) figurines, but a friend mine showed to me a couple of art toys he have beeen collecting for while.
Then recently the same friend informed me that there was going to be a train exposition called Blueprint, inspired by the Tag the system event in San Fransisco.I asked i'm where he told me it was in a dentist clinic (that makes it even more original).
So i went to see what it was all about and i was totaly amazed. First it was a small clinic and it was Jam packed during the whole evening there was even people waiting outside.A DJ was invited to create ambiance whit urban music.
Then there was a scaled 2x4 feet reproduction of an old train station and averything from the building to the trains was filled whit grafs of the montreal artists.
But that was just the apetizer the main course was in the other room. I was shocked to see about 60 trains all painted by numberous big names of the can artists community in montreal. But also a lot of other genre were presented at this event from collage to paintin and 3D's. There was a style for any taste.
There was even an articulated robot that was insane.
The only thing that differs from the original event was that the trains that they used to work on were actual HO scale miniature trains, instead of molds of those trains.I think that it pushes the concept a bit farther. However it was amazing. IT'S A MUST SEE.

AWESOME!!!!!

Lets do a tag event in Canada!

it is amazing the quality on these considering how small they are...

Tag trains are 22" long

more pics please!
