IGN Contest - Win a spot in the upcoming I am 8-bit Art Show

The 2nd annual I am 8-bit art show featuring  work inspired by the classic 80's generation of videogames opens at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles on April 18th, 2006 and runs through May 19th, 2006.  This is bound to be one of the premiere group shows for urban, underground, and lowbrow art for the entire year.

What if you could win an opportunity to have your art featured in this year's I am 8-bit show?  Now's your chance.  IGN is sponsoring the I am 8-bit art contest.  Check the site for details, but the gist is that you  create a piece suitable for the show and then submit a picture of it.  The winner gets his/her piece added to the show and also wins a cool retro-video game prize pack.  Need some inspiration?  Here's the first public look at three pieces in this year's I am 8-bit show.   What are you waiting for?  Hurry, contest ends April 7th!  Enter the contest already!

It's a gallery show about computer games and the competition doesn't allow purely digital artwork? Does that seem wrong to anyone else? What if you made an image digitally, printed it onto canvas, and signed it with a sharpie? Does that qualify as 'mixed media'? =]
