Seen: Black Bean Red Demon Release (5.31.07)

Muttpop released the Black Bean Red Demon this past Thursday (5.31) @ Munky King Melrose.  Muttpop always flies in the artist behind each figure for the release event.  Gobi made the trip out for both the Tequila and El Panda release, and for this release Red Demon artist Bill made his first trip to the United States from France.   We missed the start of the release as we split time with the release of Chris Lee's MarshMellow figure, but as expected Munky King was going strong a few hours into the evening.

Muttpop was in full effect represented by Bill, Jerry and of course Bob.  Bill and Jerry signed Red Demons, Black Bean Red Demons, and more.  Bill also took the time to do very nice sketches of the stylish luchador -- Red Demon.   Three figures were available at the event -- Original Red Demon, Black Bean Red Demon, and the sweet Mini Gobi.  In addition to the figures, three limited edition prints were available for purchase -- one large Luchadores 5 group shot and 2 pages from the comic.  As far as I know, these are the first ever Muttop giclees.   While Bill doodled and customized several Black Beans, the best far and away was the last one of the night -- a slick skeletal Red Demon!  Props to Muttpop and Munky King for another great release event.
