Beast Brothers for Reconstructing Misfortune (10.8)
For ‘Reconstructing Misfortune’ opening @ Munky King on Friday October 8th the Beast Brothers have turned in a sweet custom of Ferg’s Misfortune Cat. The piece features their signature style which draws on their Hispanic roots for inspiration most noticeably in the very detailed flourishes on the mask. The day of the dead motif comes together nicely. The skeletal imagery is featured prominently in the sculptural addition of the bone through the skull and the clever re-working of the characters on the tablet.
