Coarse – Permanent Guest x 2 (6.18)

 

Coarse has just announced the anticipated release of their Permanent Guest vinyl art toy set. First seen at their Prisoners Beside Me show at Rotofugi as a fine art multiple, the evocative piece captures the imagination with a Raccoon dragging a fish in a bathtub. 

Rather than releasing one edition and then following up with another, Coarse will offer pre-orders for two editions at the same time: Promised Bliss and Endless Shadow.  Promised Bliss is a gray+silver variant of the OG piece.  The muted, light, light gray fish rides in style—a shiny silver tub.  Endless Shadow brings the luxury with a black + gold design complete with a gold metallic tub. Endless Shadow brings a new “feel” to the piece, a bit more sinister, a bit more manipulative. 

Both vinyl editions deliver the full size experience of the original—the set deserves a fairly large display area.  Coarse will release both Permanent Guest editions on Thursday, June 18th 2015 for 1540 HKD  (~US$198) each via coarsehkg.com.
