myplasticheart at 5 Points: Seedlas (5”) by Shoko Nakazawa
myplasticheart has just announced its final Five Points Festival Release and it’s sure to draw a line to their booth [#336]. They will be releasing the new 5” version of Shoko Nakazwa’s very popular Seedlas figure in both black and white editions. If Seedlas looks very familiar, the smaller Seedlas is featured in the Kaiju Hunting mini series from Paradise.
Chris Ryniak Brings New Cuteness for Five Points
It appears that Chris Ryniak has been slaving away on an army of new resin critters for Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3). First up, he’s got three new medium-sized resins, each quite the personality. There’s Howden a cute orange Gourd, Dashi the Kitty (also available as a mini) and Succulent Dewlap. The debut Dashi edition is limited to 10 pieces. Both Howden and Dewlap will be available online in early June. More? Sure thing, Chris also has a fresh harvest of mini veggies to choose from. Adopt the cuteness at his booth [#230].

DSKI ONE – Aleister Growly Debuts at Five Points Festival
David "Dski One" Osowski will debut his self-made Aleister Growly resin figure at Five Points Festival from the Lulubell Toys booth [#331] for $40—incredible value. Standing four inches tall, Aleister features a magnetically articulated neck and was hand-sculpted, cast, and painted by Dski One. Aleister is part of the artist’s Infected by Devils series of characters which are ‘inspired by the various ancient wisdom holders and seekers of the past’. A shapeshifter, Aleister has been known to take many forms, including the dog form seen in this first edition.

myplasticheart will release the groovy Inu-Harigon Dawn Galaxy from Teresa Chiba for Five Points Festival from their booth [#336] for $70. They will also have a limited number of the OG Inu-Harigon as well ($55).
James Groman x Lulubell – Rotten Rex Extreme GID Neolithic Hawaiian
Whoa! Lulubell will unleash the Rotten Rex Extreme GID Neolithic Hawaiian from James Groman at their Five Points Festival booth [#331]. Painted by DSKI ONE, this crazy micro edition [5 pcs] looks amazing with the lights on and wicked with ‘em off.

Chris Ryniak x Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi : Algonac Debuts at Five Points Fest
Chris Ryniak has once again melded minds with Squibbles Ink and Rotofugi to create a brand-new soft vinyl beastie. Algonac will debut in Spring Green at Five Points Festival from the Squibbles Ink booth [#236]. They will also have a number of tantalizing Algonac test pulls for sale – drool…
Hinatique is Bringing Morris to 5 Points Fest
Kaori Hinata (Hinatique) is making the trip from Japan to Brooklyn for this year’s Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3) along with a travel companion, Morris! Her signature character will be available in two editions. First up there’s the JUNGLE Exclusive Morris with a teal coat from the JUNGLE booth [542] for $80. Kaori will also release the Yellow Rain Coat Morris at the 1000 Toys booth [543] for $80 as part of the Toys to Art Showcase.
QUICCS x Martian Toys TEQ3 [Series02] Launches at Five Points Festival
Having successfully managed the intricacies of US Customs, Martian Toys is set up for a fabulous Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3) with several new drops including the first TEQ63 [Series02] figure. The [43] Fortress Black Edition seems to draw from QUICCS’ Ghost of Kurosawa design (1:6 scale shown below) with the red arm band and what appears to be a skeletal pattern on the arms and torso. Pick up the newest TEQ63 6” vinyl from the Martian Toys booth [#132].

Clutter Exclusive Mister Self Indulgence Berry Pink Debuts at Five Points Festival
Clutter will release their Exclusive Mister Self Indulgence Berry Pink from Nouar x Martian Toys at their Five Points Festival booth [#223] for $150. 50 of the total run of 100 pieces will be available at the convention. The remainder will be available online. A variation on the wildly popular OG edition, Berry Pink sees the voracious one’s shirt go pink and an all-new Lil’ Scoopy (double chocolate chip?).
Rato Kim x myplasticheart for 5 Points: New Boxcat + Flower Breadcat
For this weekend’s Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3), myplasticheart has two cute cat toys from Rato Kim. First up is the brand-new Box Cat ‘Take Care of Yourself’ edition (18 pcs, $40) featuring a red+white ambulance-inspired design filled with pills, visible through the see through crosses on each side—stylish. Rato has also baked a fresh batch of the Breadcat Flower edition (20 pcs, $35). Both of the cute cat releases will be available via the mph booth [#336].
Theodoru x Martian Toys – Kranyus Debuts at Five Points
Wow. Martian Toys is bringing the vinyl thrills with yet another original sculpt. They will debut the Kranyus Classic Edition from Theodoru at their Five Points Festival booth [#132]. Based on the artist’s illustrations, this retro mouse mashup stands 8” tall and features eight points of articulation. That’s a lot of posability – here’s our guess: neck, shoulders, wrists, waist, and legs. We’re looking forward to seeing this one in person.

Clutter x DC Collectibles – Batman Smoke & Bone at Five Points Festival
Talk about high profile crossovers! Clutter has collaborated with DC Collectibles on a Batman Double-Cast resin figure with an inner GID demon. Starting with a drawing from DC Executive Creative Director Jim Fletcher, Clutter’s American Gross (Josh Kimberg) sculpted and modeled the Dark Knight. Produced by Clutter Studios, this fearsome vision will debut in a Smoke & Bone edition (100 pcs, 8”) at Five Points Festival from the Clutter Gallery booth [#223] for $195.
Brent Nolasco x Taskone – Gordo Returns at 5 Points
After an extended hiatus—nine years—Brent Nolasco’s Gordo figure returns for Five Points Festival. Brent and Taskone have conjured up creative new takes on the resin beast—metallic, clear with glitter + flake and more. Make a beeline for the mph booth [#336] to ensure yourself the best selection.

BlackBook Toy at Five Points: SKUM-kun Mono + More
BlackBook Toy has announced more releases for the Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3) dropping at their booth [#300]. First up is the SKUM-kun Mono featuring a brand-new braided hair style. The latest edition of their popular collabo figure with Suicidal Tendencies rocks a retro vibe with four shades of matte gray. The Mono will be available for $160. This is the second announced 5 Points edition from BBT, following the previously mentioned Tony The Mousezilla.
BBT will also release three one-off Mousezillas—Jiagnshizilla + mini ($490), Spiderzilla + Mini ($490) and Beetlezilla ($470). There’s also more Marvel Okinawa magic including two SKUM-kuns: Uncle Skum ($330) and Checkered ($350) – very nice!
Blackbook Toy will also be offering a special sample sale featuring a variety of product samples—some from the vault, some rejected concepts, and some from upcoming drops. Be sure to drop by the BBT booth [#300] to check out all the sick sofubi and say hi to Kaz and crew who are making the long trip from Japan.

Ron English x Blackbook Toy – Tony the Mousezilla for Five Points Festival
Blackbook Toy will release Tony the Mousezilla from Ron English at Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3). The newest edition of Mousezilla is inspired by Ron’s Fat Tony Cereal Killer vinyl, a critique of sugary cereal. BBT has done a really nice job of translating the Fat Tony concept to the Mousezilla sofubi. All the details are here, from the face, the scarf, and of course the numerous tiger stripes. Tony the Mousezilla will be available at Blackbook Toy’s booth [#330] at 5 Points (6.2 – 6.3) for $150.
Keeping with their convention tradition, Blackbook Toy will also have several one-off Mini Mousezillas at their booth. This time around the minis are inspired by Pop Culture – Super Heroes, TV characters and more.
Andrew Bell – Kill Kat Matcha Snake Venom Debuts at Five Points Festival
O-No Food Company has baked up their finest Kill Kat flavor so far – Matcha Snake Venom (250 pcs)! Delicious? Maybe. Paralysing? Absolutely! Andrew Bell’s latest flavor of his wildly popular Kill Kat vinyl figures will make its debut at Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3) from his booth [#336]. Andrew’s done a great job of this fun send-up of the matcha craze. The yellow eyes, the drips of yellow venom and the added forked-tongue deco make the piece. If you can’t make it to the show, don’t fret. Matcha Snake Venom will be available at SDCC in July, Online Lottery in August, and will also make an appearance at DCon in November.
myplasticheart at Five Points Fest: Fortune Uamou Statue of Liberty
myplasticheart will release their Fortune Uamou Statue of Liberty exclusive from Japanese artist Ayako Takagi at their Five Points Festival Booth [#336]. This clever NYC-themed version of her Fortune Lamou celebrates the iconic statue with matching blue/green vinyl, an added golden crowd, and in a fun touch, a gold mini boo as the torch’s flame. Limited to 20 pieces, the Statue of Liberty edition will be available for $30 at the MPH booth [#336].

Plaseebo x Planet-X – SUM Handpaints at Five Points Fest (6.2 – 6.3)
The second coming of SUM hits Brooklyn at the Five Points Festival with the release of several handpainted one-off editions of Plaseebo’s vengeful giant turtle beast produced by Planet-X [booth #328]. First released in small numbers as a polyurethane resin back around 2006, the new SUM is cast in soft vinyl and appears to retain the original’s tremendous detail especially in terms of the accumulated junk and debris embedded in his body.
The Five Points one-offs are hand-painted by Bob Conge (Plaseebo), feature an integrated color-changing LED light, and are hand-signed. Look for the first production run drop in July. Be sure to hit the jump for SUM’s origin story.
kaNO – Blue Ghettocard Debuts at Five Points
LA-based artist kaNO will be making the trip home for Five Points Fest (6.2 – 6.3) with a few drops lined up. A year after he released the first Ghettocard figure in yellow+blue (current Metrocard) comes a second Blue+Yellow Ghettocard inspired by the OG metrocards. These will drop at the myplasticheart booth (#336) and also from kanokid.com. Full release info shortly. In addition to the new Ghettocard, kaNO will also release his Artist Edition ‘The Messenger’ figures in Red via the mph booth and his site.

Cometdebris is Loaded with Five Points Exclusives
Looks like Koji Harmon (Cometdebris) has been a busy man preppin’ for Five Points (6.2 –6 .3). So far he’s officially announced four drops and he’s also previewed two others. Let’s dive in. For shark fans, he’s got the Sametan Red+Green Glow ($50). If clear vinyl is your steez, there’s the Kid Ace (w/glitter) for $35 and the teched-out Kappaborg ($50, 3 pcs) with custom paper inserts. From clear to translucent, Koji will release a red translucent Tofu Kid ($30) – 5 per day. He’s also teased Oni Kids (flesh with green/purple hair) as well as purple/black Kappa Shonen. More? Sure, he will also release several one-off Kid Ace customs. More? You never know :) All of this will be available from the Cometdebris booth [#344].

myplasticheart has just announced a brand-new Konatsu treat for Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3). Daioh Negora Fruit Candy reminds us of Japanese retro-style candy and features milky white sofubi with multi-color spray. Daioh Negora will be available for $80 at the mph booth [#336]. Tenacious Toys at Five Points: Nerviswr3k Drone Invasion
As part of it’s lineup for the Five Points Festival, Tenacious Toys will be offering two special drops from Nerviswr3k, each featuring the artist’s new self-produced resin Pill Drones. First up is a fun exclusive combo set, pairing the Purple Inner Child vinyl with a brand-new matching Pill Drone resin in Purple. These are limited to 20 sets and will be available for $85/set.
Tenacious will also offer the Switchface Pill Drones in red. Each drone comes with four interchangeable magnetic faces – fun! Since these are all hand-made by the artist, there will only be five sets at the show ($75). Both releases will be available form the Tenacious Toys booth [#234]
Vincent Scala – Lucky Cat Debuts At Five Points Festival (6.2 – 6.3)
Vincent Scala has not one but two brand new drops lined up for Five Points Festival in Brooklyn next weekend (6.2 – 6.3). In addition to the previously mentioned clear Skeleton Racer, he’ll also be debuting his Lucky Cat in a painted teal edition as well as an unpainted red. The fun new retro-style vinyl will be available at his booth [#447]
myplasticheart x Six TwentyEight – Captain Mitt Five Points Fest Exclusive !
myplasticheart has once again teamed up with Six TwentyEight for a heroic new Mitt. The hand-painted Captain Mitt features a red+white+blue design with the iconic shield emblem emblazoned on the front of his bumper car. In the past these special themed releases have been limited to just ten pieces, this time the run is twenty – still crazy limited, but at least there’s twice as many. These will be available for $65 from the mph booth[#336] at the show (6.2 – 6.3).
