VP Webcam Series #3: Brent Nolasco

Yay! There’s a new VP Webcam Interview featuring Brent Nolasco, who’s been on quite a tear, releasing new figure after new figure.  Every time we turn around he’s got a new sculpt to show off or a new edition to drop.  So we caught up with him while he was in NYC at myplasticheart (via Skype).  Be sure to check it out – either above or at youtube.com/vinylpulse where you’ll also find interviews with Codec Zombie and 2Petalrose

I’ve had fun doing these interviews.  The video editing crash course on the other hand… is sorta, kinda fun, in a masochistic way :)  There’s plenty more coming up. Next? Kyle Kirwan and after that Jerome Lu.

VP Webcam Interview Series Debuts with Codec Zombie

Today we’re pleased to release the first installment of the Vinyl Pulse Webcam Interview Series featuring Alessandro Randi (Codec Zombie) who has created impressive resin figures in his studio, sculpting them in Zbrush, outputting them in 3D, casting them in resin, and even creating his own thermoformed blisters. We talked to Alessandro recently from his studio in Ravenna, Italy about his path to creating art toys, previous releases, and Feeding Plants which drops on Friday (6.10).  To learn more about Codec Zombie and his art toys, you can watch the interview by clicking the embedded video above or watching it on the newly renovated Vinyl Pulse Youtube Channel.

Our new Webcam Interview Series allows us to put the focus on the artists creating the toys that we all collect and lust for.  We’ll bring you inside their studios and have them tell you about and show their work.  Thanks to Reactor-88 for suggesting the webcam interview idea. Next up: 2petalrose!
